Spanish Course

Online Spanish course

As part of your benefits as a volunteer, we offer access to an online Spanish course. It includes two levels: basic/intermediate and advanced, from which you can choose according to your current Spanish level and expectations. Both levels of the course provide different tools that include reading, listening and writing skills (through the supporting tasks) with a focus on Chilean culture and linguistic nuances related to our country.

Through the development of the course, your tutor will send you different tasks that you need to complete in order to consider the course completed. Once you complete the tasks, you will gain access to the online Spanish exam BULATS, which certifies your Spanish reading and listening skills.

Below, you will find the link to both levels of the course, in order to assess them before deciding which course fits you best:

The BULATS exam

The BULATS exam is an examination developed by Cambridge ESOL and provided by the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), which helps certify the Spanish level of candidates who want to use Spanish as a foreign language in their workplace.  It considers the levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The National Volunteer Center of the English Opens Doors Program, Ministry of Education, provides the online format of these tests which asses the reading and listening skills.
