Patagonia includes the south of Los Lagos (X), Aysén (XI) and Magallanes (XII) regions. These regions are characterized by a sub-polar oceanic climate and a glacial landscape. One of the most well known attractions in this zone is the Torres del Paine National Park which boasts dramatic landscapes and excellent trekking.

Rain is very common throughout the entire year in Patagonia, but especially in winter. Winter lows hover right around 0°C (32°F) and some snowy days should be expected during the winter. Summer highs are about 18-21°C (65-70°F). Strong winds are also frequent, which can make temperate days seem much colder. Heavy winter clothing is recommended for this zone, including a heavy coat, jackets, sweatshirts, hat, gloves, long underwear, thick socks, and warm boots.
